Getting started
It's a permanent mailing address plus the software to run it. Your mail arrives at a staffed facility, we photograph every piece and put it in your dashboard, and you decide what happens next — view it, open and scan it, forward it, hold it, store it, shred it, or return it — from anywhere.
It's a real street address at a mail facility, formatted with your own private mailbox number (PMB). It is not a PO Box. Because it's a street address, it works in many places a PO Box isn't accepted, and it can receive packages from private carriers.
PMB stands for Private Mailbox. It's the number that identifies your specific mailbox at the facility, and it appears in your address like this: Your Name / PMB 1234 / 100 Example Street, Suite 200 / City, State ZIP. It tells the facility exactly whose mail a piece belongs to.
Your address has your name (or a recipient name on your account), your PMB number, the facility's street address and suite, and the city, state, and ZIP. We give you a copyable, printable version and a checklist of who to give it to.
PS Form 1583 is the USPS form that authorizes a mail-receiving service to receive mail on your behalf. Federal rules require it, along with verifying your identity using two acceptable IDs, and it typically needs to be notarized. We walk you through the current version, explain your notary options, and pre-fill what we can. Requirements can change, so we'll guide you through the current process at signup.
Yes. The demo is free, needs no account, and uses fictional sample mail so you can see exactly how everything works before deciding.
Your mail & privacy
Only when you ask. Every piece is photographed unopened. Opening and scanning happens only after you authorize that specific piece, and every action is recorded in your history.
You can, along with any recipients or team members you add to your account. On our side, staff access is limited by role to what's needed to handle your mail, and sensitive actions are logged. We don't put your mail contents into analytics.
We can't accept certain restricted, hazardous, or illegal items, and some accountable or specialized mail types have extra steps. If something can't be received or requires special handling, we'll flag it rather than guess. Our Mail Handling and Package policies list the specifics.
Scanning never destroys your original on its own. The physical piece is kept until you decide what to do with it — forward it, store it, shred it, or return it. Shredding always asks first and explains that it can't be undone.
Most mail is photographed and posted within one to two business days of arriving, and authorized scans are typically ready shortly after you request them. Volume, holidays, and unusual items can affect timing, so we describe our process honestly rather than promising an exact turnaround. You can always see each piece's current status.
Forwarding & packages
You pay the actual postage plus a clear handling fee, and you see the total before you confirm each shipment. Bundling several pieces into one shipment usually lowers the cost per piece.
Yes. We receive packages from major carriers, photograph them, note their condition, and hold, forward, consolidate, or return them on your instruction. Package handling and storage carry fees based on size and time, shown before you confirm.
Yes. Consolidation lets you group multiple pieces or packages into a single shipment to save on postage. You choose when to send.
International forwarding is supported where carriers and customs rules allow. Some destinations, item types, and customs requirements add steps or restrictions, which we'll show you when you set up a shipment.
Mail intelligence
The assistant is a helpful first pass, not the final word. It reads only mail you've authorized to be opened, and automated reading can make mistakes, so summaries and extracted details can be wrong. Your original scan is always available to check, and each finding shows a confidence level.
No. It never analyzes unopened mail beyond the envelope details you can already see. It works only on documents you've authorized to be opened and scanned.
No. Summaries and extracted details are for convenience only and are not legal, tax, medical, or financial advice. For decisions that matter, rely on your original documents and a qualified professional.
Billing & account
Plans start at $15 per month for Essentials, with Traveler, Household, and Business adding scanning, mail intelligence, multiple recipients, and business controls. Subscription fees are separate from usage-based charges like postage, which are always shown before you confirm.
Yes. You can cancel from your account. Our Refund & Cancellation policy explains any notice period and how mail is handled after an account closes, including the window for retrieving or forwarding remaining mail.
No. Joining the waitlist is free and commits you to nothing. We don't charge for service that isn't available yet — any payment happens only when your address is ready to use.
Eligibility & legal
MyEverAddress is a mailing address. Whether an address is accepted for things like a driver's license, vehicle registration, voter registration, taxes, insurance, banking, or legal residency varies by state and situation, and a mailing address does not by itself establish domicile or residency. We flag where this matters, but you should confirm the requirements that apply to you.
No. We are not a registered agent service and don't hold ourselves out as one. If your business needs a registered agent, that's a separate service with its own requirements.
No. We handle physical mail — receiving, scanning, forwarding, storing, and shredding it. We don't deposit checks or handle your funds.
No. We operate as a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency and our USPS CMRA registration is in progress. We don't claim USPS approval or any government endorsement.
No. MyEverAddress organizes your mail and documents, but it doesn't provide legal, tax, or financial advice, and it isn't a substitute for a professional.
